Země Keltů is an open-air archaeological museum and one of the largest projects of its kind in Europe. Covering three hectares, it features nearly thirty Celtic structures built with a high proportion of manual labour and a strong emphasis on historical accuracy, based on archaeological finds from the La Tène period.
The site includes a reconstruction of a pincer gate and stone rampart inspired by the only known Celtic oppidum in eastern Bohemia, at Hradiště near České Lhotice. Visitors can explore residential houses, craft workshops, farm buildings, and sacred spaces that evoke life in Celtic oppida more than 2,000 years ago. The atmosphere is enhanced by domestic animals and the cultivation of historical crop varieties.
The site can be explored independently with a text or digital guide, or as part of a guided tour. During the season, themed public events are regularly held here, focused on period crafts, combat techniques, and ancient rituals.
The project is led by the Boii association (Boii, z.s.), whose goal is to create the most authentic possible reconstruction of a Celtic oppidum. The museum opened to the public in 2016 and continues to develop. Construction began in 2011, with support from the town of Nasavrky, the Pardubice Region, and the Ministry of Regional Development.
The site stands on land owned by the town of Nasavrky. The Boii association is responsible for construction, ownership, and development; day-to-day operations are managed by Země Keltů, a.s.
