This publication provides an overview of Celtic life in the territory of present-day Eastern Bohemia during the last five centuries before the Common Era. It explores how people lived, where they settled, how they buried their dead, and what their economy and everyday culture looked like.
The book was written under the lead of archaeologist Tomáš Mangel in collaboration with Alžběta Danielisová and Jan Jílek. Its 153 pages — illustrated with images, maps, and other visual materials — offer an accessible summary of archaeological knowledge about this period.
The publication was produced by the Museum of Eastern Bohemia in Hradec Králové in cooperation with Boii and the East Bohemian Museum in Pardubice. It includes a comprehensive bibliography, references, and an index, and is intended both for specialists and for anyone wishing to learn more about the Celtic past of our region.
